Wisewood is Offering a Free Grant Consultation Giveaway!

Forest management is top of mind for so many communities dealing with one of the worst wildfire seasons we’ve experienced. Through our mission to deploy advanced biomass energy technology in service of community and environment, Wisewood is here to help sustainably reduce wildfire risk, invest in rural economies, and support forest health in your community.

This year we're expanding our offerings and selecting up to 5 applicants to receive a free expert pre-feasibility analysis to position and enhance a project’s eligibility for the 2021 U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Forest Service Wood Innovations Grant (WIG) program. The WIG program will be awarding up to $10 million to reduce wildfire risk, improve forest conditions, and invest in rural economies. In 2020, thirty-five business, nonprofit, university and tribal partners in 19 states and Puerto Rico were awarded Wood Innovation grants that leveraged an additional $131 million in match.

Our team of experts has already secured funding from the USDA Forest Service WIG program for over a dozen clients across 5 states and we’re excited to do so for 5 more select partners.

To apply for our Wood Innovations Grant pre-feasibility assessment giveaway, simply send us an email at info@wisewoodenergy.com with the following by December 4th, 2020:

  1. Location and your role in the project
  2. Project description (brief blurb no more than 300 words)
  3. Best way to contact you by phone and email
  4. “WIG Consultation Giveaway” in the subject line

Applicants will be contacted on a rolling basis for a screening consultation until December 18th, 2020. Selected projects will receive a free pre-feasibility analysis to confirm and/or enhance eligibility for the upcoming 2021 Forest Service funding opportunities, with free grant preparation assistance available in some cases according to project needs. Whether through providing wood energy analysis and design, shovel-ready construction documentation, or getting a project across the finish line, we are eager to help you.
