District Heating

Where a cluster of public and/or private facilities exist, a central biomass boiler facility is an efficient and renewable alternative to multiple individual fossil-fueled heating units.

Using a single central energy facility to heat multiple buildings increases energy delivery efficiency, and decreases costs associated with maintaining, operating, and fueling multiple dispersed systems. This also creates the opportunity for local community ownership of energy assets, which puts the community in more control of its energy.
